SLDLP #3 – 03/10/2018
On March 10th, 2018, more than 500 volunteers gathered on 4 different areas to collect mainly plastic waste, and recycle the PET and HDPE in HK.
Sous les Déchets la Plage is not a simple beach cleaning, but an action targeting plastic waste with work downstream (recycling plastic recovered on the beach).
The event, supported by the Consulate General of France in Hong Kong and Macau, aimed to raise awareness on marine pollution linked to plastic.
Plastic collected was then locally recycled by a HK company called Chungsing 環保進城 – 隽成.
